Minutes - 1980 - Planning & Zoning - 08/05/1980 - Regular EAGLE PLANNING & ZONING P. O. BOX 477 . EAGLE, IDAHO 83616 . PHONE 939-0431 August 5, 1980 The regular meeting of the Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission was called to order at 7:30 P. M. at the Eagle City Hall by Chairperson Sharp. Members Present: Sharon Allred, Chester Brownlee, Dick Fisher, Robert Shade, Sharon Sharp, Blaine Sorenson. Ex-Officio Members present: Him Hill and Tom Richards Moved by Fisher and seconded by Shade that the minutes of the previous meeting of June 3, 1980 be approved as printed. Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: ALLRED, BROWNLEE, FISHER, SHADE, SORENSON voted aye. Motion carried. Chairperson Sharp announced that this was the time and the place for a public hearing on the following annexations: C. R. Marshall, Frank Marz, Nancy M. Kleng, Marc L. Marz, Marie Main, Quarter Circle DJ, Verlan A. Mace, Leonard W. Mace, Elbert & Dolores Creed, Floyd M. and Ina B. Chastain, Wilder's Valley Broiler, Michael J. and Marie Burkhart. Ron Marshall, Route #1, Eagle, Idaho spoke in favor of the annexation and stated that if it were to be annexed he would like to develop his three acres into a recreational vehicle storage and mini storage area. C. W. Yaryon, 2609 N. Ash Park, Boise, Idaho stated that he attended the public hearing for the purpose of information only. R. P. Howard, 2415 S. Channel Road, Meridian, Idaho submitted a written statement to become a part of the minutes. Alan Tisdale, 1116 Eagle Hills Way, Eagle, Idaho spoke against development, in the area by the Boise River. D. Rita Creed, 1337 E. State, Eagle, Idaho questioned the commission on not considering annexation on 2 small R-4 parcels directly west of her property. Don Wilder, 249 S. Edgewood Lane, spoke that the current meeting and annexation were being handled illegally and that his property was not anne~able. August 5, 1980 Page 2 Roland Freidericksen, Route #3, Eagle, Idaho stated that he objected to any annexation south of the Boise River. Barry Watts, Route #1, Eagle, Idaho, President of the Eagle Citizens Association, Inc. presented a written statement to be made part of the minutes. Peggy Holmquist, Route #3, Eagle, Idaho quested why annexation of agricultural lands south of Eagle were being considered since the residents of Eagle are provided no city services. There being no further testimony to come before the commission, the public hearing was declared closed. Moved by SHADE and seconded by SORENSON ~hà~ the Planning and Zoning Commission, at a date to be set by the chairperson, undergo a meeting to further discuss testimony that has been given here and develop our recommendation to the city council. Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: AYE: ALLRED, BROWNLEE, FISHER, SHADE, SORENSON. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the commission, the meeting was adjourned.
