The regular meeting of the Eagle Planning & Zoning Commission
was called to order by Chairperson Sharp on May 6, 1980
at 7:30 P. M. at the Eagle City Hall.
Officio members present: BROWNLEE, FISHER, SHADE, SHARP,
SORENSON.
Ex-officio members present: HILL, RICHARDS.
Chairperson Sharp introduced new member Jim Hill who is
an ex-officio member of the planning and zoning commission.
Moved by SHADE and seconded by BROWNLEE to table action
on the minutes till the next regular meeting to altow
the members an opportunity to review them. Motion resulted
as follows: AYE: BROWNLEE, FISHER, SHADE, SORENSON.
Motion carried.
Chairperson Sharp announced that

Home made a presentation.
Norm Jones realtor for Summer's spoke in favor of the
application.
Ron Marshall, Eagle, questioned whether the parking was
adequate.
Mrs. Rainey, 2nd St. stated she was in favor of the application.
Chairperson Sharp noted that Hazel Stewart, 2nd St. had
notified her that she was in favor of the application.
Irene Mutchler spoke in favor of the application.
There being no further testimony the public hearing was
declared closed.

Moved by SHADE and seconded by BROWNLEE that the commission
table the request for the amendment to the zoning ordinance
until such time as the city attorney can respond to the
concern about apparent letter requesting an amendment to the
zoning ordinance being dated subsequent to the article
in the Statesman.
Roll call resulted as follows: AYE: BROWNLEE, FISHER,
SHADE, SORENSON. Motion carried.

Chairperson Sharp announced that this was the time and the
place for a public hearing on a Conditional Use Application
submitted by Summers Funeral Home to operate a mortuary in
a C-2 zone classification.
There being no testimony the public hearing was declared
closed.
Moved by SHADE and seconded by SORENSON that the commission
table action on this application until such time as they
act on the zoning ordinance amendment.
Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: AYE: BROWNLEE,
FISHER, SHADE, SORENSON. Motion carried.
A subdivision application was received (Tu-Pine Subdivision)
from Howard J. Venable. The subdivision is a portion of
Lot 5 of Schmeltzer Addition to Eagle, Idaho and involves
7 lots.
Moved by SHADE and seconded by BROWNLEE that the commission
return the subdivision application to the representative
of Tu-Pine Subdivision for reconsideration.
Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: AYE: BROWNLEE,
FISHER, SHADE, SORENSON. Motion carried.
Moved by SORENSON and seconded by SHADE to adjourn the meeting.
