The regular meeting of the Eaih.. Illan,ning"qnd Zoning Commission was called to
order at 7: 30 P. M. on May 3, 1977 by Cha:L.person Sharp,
11EMBERS PRESENT: Amell, Kunkler, Pol1axcl, Sharp, Stephenson, Walker, Drinker,
Krassen, and West. Sorenson and Arnold Jif..",e excused.
Cliff Stephenson moved that the minut(~s)t the previous meeting be approved
as printed. Andy Pollard seconded tha m')'1:.,Oîl.
Jim Amyx and Vern Schoen, building in3pe~t.ur for Eaglet presented the commission
~~th a request to change the rearyard se~b~~ks in the existing zoning ordinance
from 25' to 15'. Gary Walker moved that~.he Planning and Zoning Commission
recommend to the City Council that ,;~e acc;:.,pt and spprove t1¡e ordinance
change fr~ 25' to 15' for the rear yard BetbacKs. Walker and Amell voted
for the motion. Pollard, Ki1nkler and St~phenson voted againsto Motion failed.
Andy Pollard moved that certain part:i,'~;..1L1T situations e..'"<ist in various PUD
applications and that Eagle could reques':: u~~h builder to bring each
particular situation before the counc:tl 38 a variance application thereby
handling each setback on its o-W'u partictr.l:2,( :lerits. Lols Kunkler seconded
- the motion. Kunkler voted for the mo':.:iC.l. I'ollardt Amall. tolalker and
Stephenson voted against. Motion fai:iaci.
Cliff Stephenson moved that the Plann:Lnf, [;,':i Zoning Commission recommend to
the City Council that we adhere to tb,! :;;5! raar yard setback. Andy Pollard
seconded the motion. Pollard, Stepheaac'l " nrl Kun1tler voted for the motion.
Amell and Walker voted against.
A public h~aring was held on a rezone ap~lication submitted by H. L. and
Bernice Be'\Tington to change the zone clEl3Ð',£ication from agriculture to
commercial. A staff report was read by ~^airperson Sharp.
It is the opinion of the rezone committe~ that the B. L. & Bernice
Bevington properties should nQt be r~zoned at the present time in
light of the existing conditiQus itemiLM below:
The current quotas of co~erctally zoned properties of
the Eagle area are not oc~upi~d vrlth businesses - thus

J. U. B. engineers presented a prelimim.7 plat of Eagle Hilla West No.4
for approval. Andy Pollard read the tr~:~ls>ittal sheets that had been
returned.
Andy Pollard moved the Eagle Hilla West #4 preliminary plat be approved.

The chair opened nominations from the commission to elect a vice-chairman.
Joe Amell nominated Cliff Stephenson. L~is Kur&ler seco~ded the motion.
Cliff Stephenson nominated Gary Walker. Andy Pollard seconded the motion.
Joe Amell moved nominations cease. Andy P~llard seconded the motion.
The vote was two !nfavor of Gary Walker~ and three in favor of Cliff
Stephenson.
There being no further business to come befoTe the commission, the meeting
was adjourned.
A special meeting was called for Thursday, May 12, at 7:00 P. M. to
review the land use component of the compreh""nsive plan.
