The regular meeting of the Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission
was called to order at 7:00 P. M. by Chairman Cole on
February I 1977.
Mayor Deckard introduced the new commission members and
handed out certificates of appointment to them.
The minutes of the previous meeting of January 4,
were approved as corrected.
1977
A publ ic hearing was held on a Conditional. Use Application
presented by Amyx Construction to build 3 duplexes in an
R-S zone classificati~n ~n Eagle Hills Subdivision #1.
Andy Pollard made a motion that the city council grant
Amyx Construction, Eagle Hills West #1, a variance to
place 3 duplex units on lots 2,3,and 4 of Eagle Hills
West, Subdivision #1, and that a permit be granted and
coupled with a design review before the Planning and Zoning
Commission. Pollard withdrew his motion.
Mr. Amyx was informed by the chai~~.n that only the City
Council has the authority to grant a variance, and that his
app I ication does not fa I I under a Cond it i ona I Use Perm i t i
therefore/he$ust:~omplete a Variance Application and
submit it to the City Counci I.
Nominations were submitted for a person to act as chairman
to the PlånR,ing and Zoning Commission for 1977. The following
t'wo names were submitt~d: Sharon Sharp and Andy Pollard.
Mr. Pollard withdrew his nomination. Blaine Sorensen made
a motion' that the commission cast a unanimous ballot for
Sh~ron Sharp. Gary Wa:ikecGseconded the motion.

Joe Amèll mad~ a motion that a special meeting be held
February 15; r977 to review the following three components
of the Comprehensive Plan: Economic Development, Natural
Resources and Recreation.
Andy Pollard made a motion to change the Planning and Zoning
Meeting to canside with the City Council, and meet the
first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 P. M. instead of
7:00L lois Kunkler seconded the motion. CI iff Stephenson
voted" against. Motion carried. .

Opinion - i't will be 2 .. 3 year. before another achoolwill

Cliff Stephenson made - motion that the planning and
zoning recommend that the city council hold a joint meeting
with the planning and zoning commission on February 8, 1977
invii:ing 'the public, and the school board to discuss the
matter of growth and education problema in Eagte. Marion
Tadlock seconded the motion.
