A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, ADA COUNTY. IDAHO,
ESTABLISHING A PRESIDENT PRO -TEMPORE (PRO TEM) POSITION AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WI IEREAS, the City of Eagle, Ada County, Idaho (the "City"), is a municipal corporation duly
organized and operating under the laws of the State of Idaho; and
WHEREAS, the role of Council President is to assume the duties of the Mayor should they be
absent/unavailable for an extended period of time; and
WHEREAS, it is the Mayor and City. Council desire to take proactive measures to ensure the
smooth operation of municipal government should both the Mayor and Council President be
absent/unavailable for an extended period of'time; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CI"I'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, ADA
COUNTY, IDAHO, as follows:
Section 1: The City Council may appoint a President Pro Tempore (Pro "rem) as needed. Once appointed
the individual shall serve through the remainder of the calendar year, and shall serve with no change in
monetary compensation. The individual shall have all authority associated with the Council President
position in the absence of the Council President.
Section 6: This resolution shall take effect upon adoption.
