JOINT MEETING
Meeting Minutes
April 30, 2018
1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Ridgeway calls the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL: BASTIAN, GOLD, PITTMAN, MITCHELL. Bastian is absent. A
quorum is present.
3. URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY ROLL CALL: BASTIAN, PIERCE, BUSCHERT,
GOLD, SHEPARD. Bastian is absent. A quorum is present.
4. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Mayor leads the Pledge of Allegiance.
5. EXECUTIVE SESSION:
74-206. EXECUTIVE SESSIONS (1) An executive session at which members of
the public are excluded may be held, but only for the purposes and only in the manner
set forth in this section. The motion to go into executive session shall identify the
specific subsections of this section that authorize the executive session. There shall
be a roll call vote on the motion and the vote shall be recorded in the minutes. An
executive session shall be authorized by a two-thirds (213) vote of the governing
body. An executive session may be held:
(c) To acquire an interest in real property which is not owned by a public agency;
11istorical property.
Gold moves pursuant to I.C. 74-206 to go into a Joint Executive Session between
Eagle City Council and the Urban Renewal Agency to acquire an interest in real
property which is not owned by a public agency; Historical property. Discussion.
Gold: amend that to include subsection (1)(c). Seconded by PittmanGold: AYE;
Pittman: AYE; Mitchell: AYE: ALL AYES: MOTION CARRIES
Pierce: Urban Renewal would also like to move that we go into Executive Session
per code. Seconded by Buschert. Pierce; AYE; Buschert: AYE; Gold: AYE:
Shepard: AYE: ALL AYES: MOTION CARRIES
Council and the URA go into Executive Session at 5:30 p.m.
Council and the URA discuss Historical Property
Bastian joins the Execute Session
Council and the URA leave Executive Session at 6:00 p.m.
6. ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor we are going to adjourn and then we will convene the Town Hall Meeting.
Do I have a motion to adjourn? Gold moves to adjourn the Executive Session.
