Ordinance - 1971 - 5 - Providing for Building permits and inspection fees - 07/12/1971ORDINANCE NO. 5 An Ordinance adopting the building code of the City of Eagle, Idaho, and providing for building permits and inspection fees in the City of Eagle. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO: Section 19: 19-101: ADOPTION OF BUILDING CODE: There is hereby adopted by the City for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the construction, alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of buildings and structure, including permits and penalties, that certain building code known as the Uniform Building Code 1970 Edition, Volume I, of which not less than three (3) copies have been and now are filed in the office of the Clerk and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and from the date on which this Ordinance shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling the construction of all buildings and other structures therein contained within the corpor- ate limits of the City. 19-102: PERMIT REQUIRED FOR CONSTRUCTION OR ALTERATION: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to commence construction upon any building, or the installation of any prefabri- cated home, installation or transfer of any mobile home or house trailer used as living quarters, without first securing a building permit from the City Council and any person desiring to obtain such permit shall file with the City Clerk, addressed to the City Council, a petition describing fully the building and premises whereon such construction is proposed, the materials to be used and specification thereof. A fee shall be charged for every permit issued under this Ordinance in accordance with the following schedule: $50.00 to and including $250.00 -- $2.50 $250.00 to and including $500.00 - $5.00 $501.00 to and including $2,000.00 - $5.00 for first $500.00 plus $1.00 for each $100.00 or fraction thereof up to and including $2,000.00 $2,001.00 to $25,000.00 - $20.00 for the first $2,000.00 plus $3.00 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof up to and including $25,000.00. $25,001.00 to $50,000.00 - $89.00 for the first $25,000.00 plus $2.50 each additional thousand or fraction thereof up to and including $50,000.00. $50,001.00 to $100,000.00 - $151.50 for the first $50,000.00 plus $1.50 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof up to and includ- ing $100,000.00. $100,000.00 and up - $226.50 for the first $100,000.00 plus $1.00 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof. The city inspector shall have the right to enter on the premises where any building is being constructed for the purpose of inspecting the same to ascertain that it is in conformance with the Uniform Building Code as set forth in 19-101. 19-103: PERMIT AND INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR MOBILE HOMES, TRAILER HOUSES OR PREFABRICATED HOMES: Any mobile home, trailer house or any structure or building or any prefabricated structures constructed prior to moving in or placement on any lot or parcel within the City of Eagle shall be considered as a structure requiring a building permit and inspection will be required, for a minimum fee of $5.00. 19-104: VALIDITY: The invalidity of any Section or provision of this Ordinance or of the Code hereby adopted shall not invalidate other Sections or provisions thereof. 19-105: PENALTY: Any person violating the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which emergency is declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO: - 19 -101: ADOPTION OF BUILDING CODE: There is hereby adopted by the City for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the construction, alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of buildings and structure, including permits and penalties, that certain building code known as the Uniform Building Code 1970 Edition, Volume I, of which not less than three (3) copies have been and now are filed in the office of the Clerk and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and from the date on which this Chapter 550,000.00. 550,001.00 to $100,000.00 $151.50 for the first $50,000.00 plus $1.50 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof up to and including $100,000.00. 5100,000.00 and up - $226.50 for the first 5100,000.00 plus 51.00 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof.
