SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
Eagle City Hall, 660 Civic Lane
August 17, 2020 5:00 P.M.
A. CALL TO ORDER at 5:01pm
B. ROLL CALL: HYER, THAEMERT, SOELBERG, MORTENSEN, LEWIS all present
C. ACTION ITEM: ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, OR MODIFICATIONS TO THE AGENDA
D. NEW BUSINESS
a. ACTION ITEM: Growth and Development Update-Should have new city-wide initiative in place come
spring that will outline process and governance committee to review, coordinate and approve capital requests.
City encouraged cross-departmental collaboration on developing ‘campuses’ with multi-use groups. City will
also be developing city-wide facilities improvement planning guide. Will need Library input for needs. As a
starting place, look at Ada County master facilities list.
b. Strategic Plan discussion- Director Bumgarner asked Board to consider delaying the start of developing a
new strategic plan due to current pandemic and challenges of accessing public for input.
E. PUBLIC COMMENT: This time is reserved for the public to address the Eagle Public Library Board of Trustees
regarding concerns or comments they would like to provide to the Board regarding subjects not on the agenda. This is
not the time slot to give formal testimony on a new business item or pending application or proposal.
