Ordinance - 1999 - 347 - Adding To Title 1/Chapter 6 Section D/Deputy City Clerk - 05/11/1999ORDINANCE No.347 AN ORDINANCE ADDING EAGLE CITY CODE TITLE 1, "ADMINISTRATIVE", CHAPTER 6, "CITY OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES", SECTION D "DEPUTY CITY CLERK", AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, The City Clerk of the City of Eagle is occasionally required to be absent from the City of Eagle; and WHEREAS, During the absence of the City Clerk certain duties of the City Clerk as set forth in the Eagle City Code and Idaho State Code must still be performed; and WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Council of the City of Eagle deem it advisable to empower a Deputy City Clerk to perform such duties. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO, as follows 1-6D-1: Appointment Section 1: The Mayor. with consent of the City Council. may appoint a Deputy City Clerk. 1-6D-2: Duties: Section 1: The Mayor and/or City Clerk are hereby authorized to swear in a Deputy City Clerk to perform. during the absence of the City Clerk, those duties of the City Clerk as the Mayor or City Clerk directs him/her to perform. Section 2: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. approval. and publication as required by law.
