Ordinance - 1999 - 356 - Amend Title 10 Flood Control - 10/05/1999ORDINANCE # 356 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING EAGLE CITY CODE TITLE 10 "FLOOD CONTROL", CHAPTER 1 FLOOD CONTROL REGULATIONS, SECTION 6, FLOOD INSURANCE STUDY. WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has adopted a countywide format for the mapping and classification of the regulatory floodplain, within the City of Eagle, to simplify flood zone interpretations and to incorporate map revisions. The Federal Emergency Management Agency requires the City of Eagle to amend Eagle City Code Section 10-1-6 to maintain participation in the National Flood Insurance Program. THERFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO as follows: Section 1: That the Eagle City Code Section 10-1-6 be, and the same hereby is, amended with the strike-thru text being deleted and the underlined text being added to read as follows: 10-1-6: FLOOD INSURANCE STUDY: The areas of special flood hazard identified by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, Federal Insurance Administration, in a scientific and engineering report entitled "The Flood Insurance Study for Ada County", Idaho dated September 22. 1999 tho City of Eagle, Ada County, Ii44,", a&teEl-9stebsr 1E, 19U, with the accompanying flood insurance rate maps d :vcrari, dated September 22, 1999 Dcccmbcr 17, 1991, are hereby adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this Chapter. A copy of the flood insurance study shall be maintained on file at the Eagle City Hall. The flood insurance maps establish the areas of special flood hazard, which are adopted as the overlay zone district. (Ord. 251, 10-25-94) Section 2: The provisions of this ordinance are hereby declared to be severable and if any provisions of this act or the application of such provision to any person or circumstance is declared invalid for any reason, such declaration shall not affect the validity of remaining portions of this ordinance.
