AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE MAXIMUM SPEED LIMIT ON CITY
STREETS WITHIN THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO; ESTABLISHING MAXIMUM
SPEED LIMITS FOR IDAHO HIGHWAY 44 (ALTERNATE ROUTE) AND A
PORTION OF EAGLE ROAD WITHIN THE CITY OF EAGLE; PROVIDING FOR
THE POSTING OF SPEED LIMITS IN ACCORDANCE WITH LAW; PROVIDING
FOR PENALTY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EAGLE, IDAHO, as follows:
Section 1: Lower the speed limit to 45 mph on Eagle Road from the bridge across
the North Channel of the Boise River to Chinden Boulevard; and on State Highway 44
from Horseshoe Bend Road to Linder Road; lower the speed limit to 35 mph on
Eagle Road from State Highway 44 to the bridge across the North Channel of the Boise
River.
Section 2: The foregoing maximum speed limits shall be posted in accordance
with Idaho law.
Section 3: Any person exceeding the posted speed limit shall be guilty of an
infraction as defined in Section 49-654, Idaho Code, and shall be subject to the penalties
set forth therein.
Section 4: This ordinance, or a summary thereof in accordance with Section 50-
901A, Idaho Code, shall be published once in the official newspaper of the City of Eagle
and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval, and publication.
