Ordinance - 2001 - 401 - Amending Tilte 1 Judges & Clerks Of Election - 09/18/2001ORDINANCE NO. 401 ORIGINAL AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO, AMENDING SECTION 1-9-2, EAGLE CITY CODE, TO PROVIDE FOR JUDGES AND CLERKS OF ELECTION, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO, as follows: Section 1: follows: That Section 1-9-2, Eagle City Code, be, and is hereby, amended to read as 1-9-2: JUDGES AND CLERKS OF ELECTION: A. Appointments, Qualifications: The City Council shall, at its first regular meeting in October, prior to each biennial election, appoint an election judge and such clerks as may be necessary for each voting precinct within the City, all of whom shall be qualified City or. County electors. The City Clerk shall give the appointed judge and clerks of election notice of their appointment within five (5) days of their appointment and shall request each appointee to give notice of his acceptance or declination of his appointment to the City Clerk within ten (10) days thereafter. The selection of the judge and clerks of election must, as nearly as practical, represent all political parties of the City. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval, and publication as required by law. DATED THIS /i1. day of September, 2001.
