To receive a `Certificate of Completion', you must finalize this project prior to the expiration date above: IBC & IRC sections 105.5 are amended to read as follows: 105.5 Expiration. Every permit issued by the building official under the provisions of this chapter shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not commenced within 180 calendar days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 calendar days. The timeframe by which a project shall be deemed to be suspended or abandoned shall be measured from the date of the last major inspection that resulted in an approval to move to the next stage of construction by the city of Eagle or if no inspection has been required then a project shall be deemed to be suspended 180 calendar days from the date the permit was issued. Eagle City Code Sec 105.5 also States: If more than one year has passed since the permit has expired or the city has adopted a new version of the building code, then the applicant shall apply for a new permit and the plans will be subject to a new plan review process and related permit fees. The City of Eagle regrets this project was never finalized.
