Minutes - 1983 - City Council - 11/09/1983 - SpecialPage 55 CITY OF EAGLE COUNCIL MINUTES NOVEMBER 9, 1983 The Council met in special session at 6:30 P.M. on Wednesday, November 9, 1983, at Eagle City Hall for the purpose of cavassing the election results. Mayor HALEY called the meeting to order and as for roll call. Those present were: STOPPELLO, WALKER, and PEARMAN. Moved by STOPPELLO and seconded by WALKER that in compliance with 50-467, Idaho Code, the votes were can- vassed by the council and found to agree with the tab- ulation of votes prepared by the election Judge and clerks; therefore, their tabulation is accepted. This tabulation indicated that there were 514 ballots cast, 295 votes for candidate Carol Haley and 216 votes for candidate Orval Krasen for Mayor, and 314 votes for candidate Thomas Maile, and 309 votes for candidate David Escalante, and 306 votes cast for candidate Timothy Adams. Three offices are to be filled, the Mayor and two Council seats. Ail three seats are for four year terms. In accordance with 50-467, Idaho Code, the candidate receiving the highest number of votes for Mayor is Carol HALEY and is hereby declared elected. The two candidates receiving the highest number of votes for council are Thomas MAILE and David ESCALANTE and they are hereby declared elected. Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: AYE: STOPPELLO, WALKER, PEARMAN. Motion carried. Mayor HALEY adjourned the meeting at 6:45 P.M.
