CITY OF EAGLE
COUNCIL MINUTES
JULY 12, 1983
The Council met in regular session at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday,
July 12, 1983, at Eagle City Hall. Mayor Deckard presiding.
Roll call showed the following members present: HALEY,
STOPPELLO, WALKER, DECKER.
Moved by HALEY and seconded by DECKER to approve the
minutes of the Eagle City Council meeting of June 28, 1983
printed. Motion resulted as follows: AYE: DECKER, HALEY,
STOPPELLO, WALKER. Motion carried.

Moved by HALEY and seconded by STO?PELLO to deny the
request for a building permit by Mike Orlando based on the
attorney's opinion concerning uses allowed in the Central
Business District. Motion resulted as follows: AYE: HALEY,
WALKER, DECKER, STOPPELLO. Motion carried.
Mayor Deckard presented "AN ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF EAGLE,
IDAHO, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 84 OF THE CITY OF EAGLE BY CORRECT-
ING THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE REAL PROPERTY WHICH IS THE SUB-
JECT OF ORDINANCE NO. 83" to the council. Moved by HALEY and
seconded by DECKER that in accordance with Idaho Code 50-902
the council dispense with the three reading rule, adopt the
ordinance and assign it number 85. Roll call on the motion
resulted as follows: AYE: HALEY, DECKER, STOPPELLO, WALKER.
Motion carried.
Mayor Deckard announced that this was the time and the
place for a public hearing on a rezone request submitted by
Arlos and Julia Peck for property at 275 Edgewood Lane, Eagle.
Arlos Peck, 239 Winged Foot Place, Eagle, spoke in favor of
the rezone. There being no further testimony to come before
the council, Mayor Deckard declared the public hearing closed.
Moved by DECKER and seconded by HALEY to accept the recommend-
ation of the Planning and Zoning Commission and approve the
rezone. Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: AYE:
HALEY, STOPPELLO, DECKER, WALKER. Motion carried.
Mayor Deckard announced that this was the time and the
place for a pre-budget public hearing on the General Revenue
Sharing funds to be received in FY.83-84. Mayor Deckard ex-
plained that the Revenue Sharing money was usually budgeted
for the Library. There was no public testimony so Mayor
Deckard declared the public hearing closed.
Dave Curtis and Wayne Forrey from J.U.B. Engineers were
present to discuss the possibility of a Community Block Grant
for water in the downtown section for fire protection. They
were told the City would be interested in their proposals if
some commitments could come from the businesses involved to
help pay for the cost of the application.

At this point in the meeting Mayor Deckard tendered his
resignation as Mayor and turned the gavel over to the President
of the Council.
Mayor HALEY adjourned the meeting at 8:10 P.M.
