CITY OF EAGLE
COUNCIL MINUTES
JUNE 28, 1983
The Council met in regular session at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday,
June 28, 1983, at Eagle City Hall. Mayor Deckard presiding.
Roll call showed the following members present: HALEY,
STOPPELLO, WALKER.
Moved by HALEY and seconded by WALKER to approve the minutes
of the council meeting of May 24, 1983 as printed, Motion resulted
as follows: AYE: HALEY, STOPPELLO, WALKER. Motion carried.
Moved by STOPPELLO and seconded by HALEY to have unaminous
consent to place the Eindings of Fact and Conclusions of Law for
the Leslie Cullen rezone Application #12-82 on the agenda. Motion
resluted as follows: AYE: HALEY, STOPPELLO, WALKER. Motion carried.
Moved by STOPPELLO and seconded by WALKER to adopt the Find-
ings of Fact and Conclusions of Law on the Cullen Rezone Application
#12-82. Motion resulted as follows: AYE: STOPPELLO, WALKER, HALEY.
Motion carried.
Moved by HALEY and seconded by WALKER that in accordance with
Idaho Code 5902 we dispense with the rule requiring an ordinance be
read on three different days, one reading in full, and adopt the
Ordinance #84 "AN ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF EAGLE, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO,
AMENDING ARTICLE IV OF ORDINANCE NO. 40 AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 72,
BY AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE MAP THROUGH THE CHANGE IN ZONING
DESIGNATION OE A PARCEL OF PROPERTY FROM R-5 (RESIDENTIAL) TO M-1
(LIGHT MANUFACTURING). Roll call on the motion resulted as follows :
AYE: HALEY, STOPPELLO, WALKER. Motion carried.
Moved by NALEY and seconded by STOPPELLO to adopt the Findings
of Fact and Conclusions of Law on the Eagle Sewer District C.U.P.
Motion resulted as follows: AYE: STOPPELLO, WALKER, HALEY. Motion
carried.
Moved by WALKER and seconded by HALEY to adopt the Findings of
Fact and Conclusions of Law on the application from the Eagle Sewer
District for a Development Permit. Motion resulted as follows: AYE:
NALEY, STOPPELLO, WALKER. Motion carried.
Clarence Suiter ask the Council's permission to build a drive-in
restaurant on his property on West State Street. He was told he had
two problems to contend with (a) curb cuts for ingress and egress off
State Street and (b) water for fire protection.
Mike Orlando asked the council's permission to convert part of
his building at the corner of State Street and Eagle Road to a rental
storage area. The City attorney was asked to consider the following
three questions and have his conclusions ready for the July 12, 1983
Council meeting; (a) Is a rental storage allowed in the CBD District,
(b) What amount of parking is required, (c) With changes being made
on the inside of the building, does that building then come before the
Design Review Committee?
