Minutes - 2002 - City Council - 03/21/2002 - SpecialEAGLE CITY COUNCIL Special Meeting Minutes March 21, 2002 CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Yzaguirre calls the meeting called to order at 5:10 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: BASTIAN, MERRILL, SEDLACEK, GUERBER All present. A quorum is present. City Attorney Buxton: Eagle Island State Park cannot be discussed in Executive Session. I do need an Executive Session for the discussion of Personnel. Discussion regarding amending the agenda. 3. ADA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: Sgt. Patrick Calley will present the monthly report for February. (PC) Sgt. Calley distributes copies of the month report and discusses the same. Reviews the statistics for February. Discusses law enforcement issues private streets versus public streets. General discussion. Discussion on calls within Eagle Island State Park. 1996 -175; 1997 261; 1998-428; 1999-340; 2000-319; 2001-247. These calls include serious felony crimes. General discussion. 4. EXECUTIVE SESSION: Sedlacek moves to go into Executive Session for the discussion of Personnel. Seconded by Merrill. Bastian: AYE; Merrill: AYE; Sedlacek: AYE; Guerber: AYE: ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIES ....................... Council discusses personnel issues. Council leaves Executive Session. Bastian moves to reject all Construction Management Proposals and to instruct the City Clerk to so notify the applicants and thank them for their proposals and tell them that the City hopes they will bid on the project as a general contractor. Seconded by Merrill. ALL AYE: MOTION CARIES ......................... General discussion the special meeting March 25, 2002, to discusses the progress on the City Hall project. A. Acquisition of private property. I.C., 67-2345 No Executive Session on acquisition of private property. 5. Eagle Island State Park: Chuck Lobdell provides Council with an overview of his ideas of how to do a transition from a State Park to a City Park and how to improve the park to generate more revenue.
