CITY OF EAGLE
COUNCIL MINUTES
FEBRUARY 22, 1983
The council met in regular session at 7:30 P.M., at Eagle
City Hall on Tuesday, February 22, 1983. Mayor Deckard presiding.
Roll call showed the following members present: STOPPELLO,
DECKER, WALKER, HALEY.
Moved by HALEY and seconded by DECKER to approve the minutes
of the meeting of February 8, 1983 as printed. Motion resulted
as follows: AYE: STOPPELLO, WALKER, DECKER, HALEY. Motion
carried.
Mr. E. E. Fulghum, Chief Executive Officer from the Farmers
& Merchants Bank in Meridian was present to request an extension
of the Conditional Use Permit for their mobile banking facility
located in Eagle. Mayor Deckard appointed a sub-committee of
Councilwoman HALEY and City Attorney Pat Riceci to meet with
Mr. Gratton, President of the Farmers & Merchants State Bank,
to check into the matter further and report back to the Council
at the next Council meeting.
Councilman STOPPELLO made a request for a unanimous consent
to place corrections of the minutes of the December 14, 1982
meeting on the agenda. Consent was given.
Moved by STOPPELLO and seconded by WALKER to correct the
minutes of December 14, 1982, Page 53, paragraph 3, line 8,
8~&~mee Committee and comply with all of the requirements of
the Desisn Review Ordinance. Motion resulted as follows: AYE:
STOPPELLO, WALKER, DECKER, HALEY. Motion carried.
Moved by DECKER and seconded by STOPPELLO that: 1. The
City Attorney notify Baird Oil by phone tomarrow to cease and
desist the use of the internally lit sign at the Go-Fer Mart,
2. If Baird Oil fails to comply, the City Attorney is to file
suit immediatly 3. The City Clerk is to forward a copy of the
Design Review Ordinance with a cover letter to all of the sign
companies in the area. Motion resulted as follows: AYE: HALEY,
STOPPELLO, WALKER, DECKER. Motion carried.
Moved by DECKER and seconded by HALEY to approve the sign
for the Gochnour DR 5-82 upon the recommendations of the Design
Review Committee and under the conditions as stated on the Design
Review document. Motion resulted as follows: AYE: STOPPELLO,
~HALEY, WALKER, DECKER. Motion carried.
Moved by DECKER and seconded by HALEY to approve the claims
against the City. Motion resulted as follows: AYE: HALEY,
DECKER, STOPPELLO, WALKER. Motion carr/~.'~
