EAGLE CITY COUNCIL
BUDGET HEARING 86-87
August 25, 1986
The City Council met in special session at the Eagle City Hall
on }~nday, August 25, 1986 at 7:30 p.m. Mayor CAROL HALEY presiding.
Roll call showed the following members present: MAILE, GUERBER,
MINOW, MATLOCK.
Mayor HALEY announced that it was the time and the place for
a public hearing regarding the budget. There was no public testimony
for or against the budget. Mayor HALEY closed the public hearing
portion of the meeting at 7:39 p.m.
Motion made by MATLOCK to lower the property tax levy amount
5% less than last years allotted $32,690. Motion seconded by GUERBER.
Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: MAILE: NAY, GUERBER: AYE,
MATLOCK: AYE, MINOW: NAY. As motion is in tie Mayor HALEY broke the
tie with a NAY vote. Motion failed.
Motion made by MAILE to approve the budget as presented. Motion
seconded by MATLOCK. Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: AYE:
MAILE, GUERBER, MATLOCK, MINOW. Motion carried.
Motion made by MAILE in accordance with the provisions of section
50-90 Idaho Code to move that the rule requiring ordinances to be read
on three different days to be dispensed with and that Ordinance #109
be approved immediately. Motion seconded by GUERBER. ALL AYE: Motion
carried.
GUERBER moved that ORDINANCE #109 be adopted as the 1986-87
Annual Appropriation Ordinance. Motion seconded by MAILE. Roll call
on the motion resulted as follows: AYE: _MAILE, GUERBER, MATLOCK, MINOW.
Motion carried.
Special City Council meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
