CITY OF EAGLE
COUNCIL MINUTES
January 14, 1986
The council met in regular session at the Eagle
City Hall, on Tuesday, January 14, 1986 at 7:30 p.m.
MAYOR CAROL HALEY presiding.
Roll call showed the following members present:
STOPPELLO, MAILE, GUERBER. Councilman WALKER excused.
Motion made by MAILE to approve the minutes of
the December 10, 1985 meeting as printed. Motion seconded
by GUEP~ER. Motion was unanimous to accept minutes as
printed.
Motion made by STOPPELLO to approve the Financial
Report as printed. Motion seconded by GUERBER. Roll call
on the motion resulted as follows: AYE: STOPPELLO, MAILE
GUERBER.
Discussion regarding the Amendments of Ada County
Zoning, resulted in a suggestion by ~YOR CAROL HALEY
to meet with a Ada County Commissioner, Mayor Haley and
City Attorney, Pat Riceci.
MAYOR CAROL HALEY called for committee reports
from the council. Discussion regarding the park sprinkler
system problem will wait until spring for decisions.
Moved by STOPPELLO and seconded by GUERBER to approve
Resolution 1-86 approving applications for beer an~ wine
licenses. All aye, motion carried.
MAYOR CAROL HALEY administered the Oath of Office
to STEVE GUERBER for a two year term in office as Councilman
and STEPHEN MATLOCK and THO~S MINOW as four year Council-
members.
Motion made by GUERBER to nominate THOMAS MAILE as
the new Council President. Motion seconded by MINOW. Roll
call on the motion resulted as follows: AYE: GUERBER,
MATLOCK, MINOW. Motion carried.
MAYOR CAROL HALEY called for approval of the appoint-
ment of Barbara Montgomery as City Clerk. Moved by MATLOCK
and seconded by MAILE to approve appointment. All aye, motion
carried.
Appointment of Ann Gallinger as Librarian moved by
GUERBER, seconded by MATLOCK. All aye, motion carried.
Appointment of J. Patrick Riceci as City Attorney
moved by MAILE, seconded by GUERBER. All aye, motion carried.

Appointment of Vern Schoen as Building Inspector
moved by MINOW, seconded by MAILE. Call for the question
resulted in Roll Call as follows: AYE: MAILE, GUERBER,
MATLOCK, MINOW.
Cullen discussion of Building expansion resulted in
suggestion to hold until review of Council Workshop that
will be held on January 21, 1986.
The naming of the now un-named street in Mobile
Manor to "Young Lane" resulted in a motion made by GUERBER
to accept the proposal to name the street "Young Lane",
seconded by MINOW. All aye, motion carried.
Ballantyne/Shurtliff proposal to construct a Mobile
Home Park that would include family and adult facilities
was presented by Mr. Bart Ballantyne. Result of discussion
was that they will make a presentation to Council in the
near future.
