AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, AMENDING
TITLE 3, "BUSINESS AND LICENSE REGULATIONS", CHAPTER 1, "GENERAL
LICENSING PROVISIONS", SECTION 6, "TERM OF LICENSE"; PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR A SUMMARY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Eagle, Idaho is a municipal corporation operating under
the laws of the State of Idaho; and
WHEREAS, the City of Eagle, Idaho requires businesses operating within Eagle
City Limits to obtain a business license;
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Eagle deem it to be in the
public interest to amend its ordinance governing the issuance of said licenses; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO;
Section 1: That Title 3, Chapter 1, Section 6, be and is hereby amended, in part,
to read as follows with underline text to be added and strike-through text to be deleted:
All 1Licenses shall expire the last day of each be valid for one (1) year, expiring on June
30 of each and shall be d ted from the first d y el . mil the last day f the current
year. Licenses issued on or after January 1 shall be valid from the date of issuance and
expire June 30 of the current year. Each suet general business license may shall be
renewed before the end of each calendar year June 30 upon request by-nee to the city
clerk in writing, and along with payment of the license annual fee. Failure to renew
license shall result in the license becoming invalid.
Section 2: If any part of this ordinance shall be held unconstitutional or void,
such part shall be deemed separable, and its invalidity shall not affect the remaining parts
of the ordinance.
Section 3: The City Clerk is instructed to immediately forward this ordinance to
the codifier of the official municipal code for proper revision of the code.
Section 4: That this Ordinance, or a summary thereof in compliance with Section
50-901A, Idaho Code, shall be published once in the official newspaper of the City, and
shall take effect immediately upon its passage, approval, and publication.
