1. CALL TO ORDER:
2. ROLL CALL: BLAINE, COLSON,ELWER,JOHNSON, PINGREE, STIRRAT,
WOLLERMAN
All present. A quorum is present.
3. REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
A. Minutes from April 29, 2021.
Blaine moves to approve the minutes from April 29, 2021. Seconded by Elwer. ALL
AYE...MOTION CARRIES.
4. NEW BUSINESS:
A. Discussion and Q & A with the Subject Matter Experts:
• Equestrians Led by Karen Danley
Karen Danley introduces herself and provides answers to the questions that were provided by the
Work Group. She states that key equestrian trails criteria are designated equestrian parking with
signed parking areas. Sightlines for safe trails and entrance access. She also expresses that a Public
Horse Park(5 to 10 acres)would benefit the community.
• Dog Use Led by Larry Sandusky
Larry Sandusky provides an overview of dog training on horses needs. His User Group typically
utilizes 5 to 10 acres to do so. Their group needs are different than equestrian riders only. Events
can bring up to 50 people.
B. ACTION ITEM: Map Assessment Regarding Proposed Uses, Areas, Conflicts,
Access/Egress, etc.
The group breaks out to review and discuss the proposed maps. A draft of the proposed plan will
be presented at the next BLM Work Group meeting to act on.
5. REPORTS:
A. Discuss Open House
Overview and update on the Open House.
6. ADJOURNMENT:
Blaine moves to adjourn. Seconded by Stirrat. ALL AYE... MOTION CARRIES.
