RESOLUTION NO. 07 -14
A RESOLUTION OF THE EAGLE CITY COUNCIL RECOGNIZING AND ESTABLISHING THE
EAGLE WINE DISTRICT OVERLAY, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The United States Department of Agriculture established the Western Snake
River Plain Viticultural District in March of 2007; and
WHEREAS, The Western Snake River Plain Viticultural District includes properties
located within and adjacent to the City of Eagle and the Eagle Area of City Impact; and
WHEREAS, The City of Eagle wishes to promote and support the creation of the Eagle
Wine District Overlay (EWD), a special area to promote and incubate the emerging viticultural
industry within the City of Eagle and the Eagle Area of Impact; and
WHEREAS, The City of Eagle has determined that the creation of the Eagle Wine
District Overlay (EWD) would compliment and support the unique qualities and economic
vitality of the City; and
WHEREAS, The City of Eagle desires to recognize the Eagle Wine District Overlay
(EWD) in community planning and design decisions by identifying this area as a special planning
area within then City of Eagle.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO HEREBY ESTABLISHES THE EAGLE WINE DISTRICT
OVERLAY AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED MAP (EXHIBIT A).
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption and
approval.
