A ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO EAGLE CITY CODE TITLE 8 "ZONING ",
CHAPTER 1 "ZONING INTERPRETATION AND DEFINITIONS ", CHAPTER 2 "ZONING
DISTRICTS AND MAPS ", SECTION 3 "SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT USE REGULATIONS';
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Eagle is a municipal corporation organized and operated under the laws
of the State of Idaho; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 65, Title 67, Idaho Code, the City of Eagle has the authority to
adopt, establish and amend a Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Eagle City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City of Eagle to
allow a Government agency -owned parking lot as a permitted use in certain zones; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EAGLE, Ada County, Idaho;
Section 5ection I - Eagle City Code Title 8 "Zoning ", Chapter 1 "Zoning Interpretations and
Definitions ", Section 2 "Rules and Definitions" is hereby amended with the underlined text to be
added to read as follows:
PARKING LOT, PARKING GARAGE GOVERNMENT: Parking lots or garages which
are owned by a Government agency and which offer short term or long term parking to the
public for no charge or for a fee
Section 2: Eagle City Code Title 8 "Zoning ", Chapter 2 "Zoning Districts and Map ",
Section 3 "Schedule of District Use Regulations" is hereby amended with the underlined text to
be added to read as follows:

Section 3: The provisions of this ordinance are hereby declared to be severable and if any
provision of this act or the application of such provision to any person or circumstance is
declared invalid for any reason, such declaration shall not affect the validity of remaining
portions of this ordinance.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage,
approval, and publication as required by law. In lieu of publication of the entire ordinance, a
summary thereof in compliance with Section 50 -901 A, Idaho Code, may be published.
