Reimbursement - 2015 - Student Intership / John Gonzales - 6/15/2015 STUDENT INTERNSHIP AGREEMENT
THIS STUDENT INTERNSHIP AGREEMENT ("Agreement") is entered into this L5
day of June, 2015, by and between the City of Eagle, an Idaho municipal corporation ("City")
and John Gonzales, an individual ("Intern"). City and Intern are sometimes collectively referred
to herein as the"Parties."
RECITALS
WHEREAS, Intern is a student at Meridian Technical Charter Schools and is an intern in
the Work-based Learning Program ("MTCHS WBL") and desires to enhance his academic
studies with practical experiences outside of the traditional classroom setting; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to serve as an internship site offering practical experience to
Intern pursuant to the terms set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties agree as follows:
1. Assignment and Term. The Intern shall be assigned to the City's Information
Technology("IT")department for the duration of the internship term. The internship term is 140
hours and the Intern shall be required to work 30 hours each week in order to receive school
credits. In accordance with the MTCHS WBL Internship Agreement the City shall not terminate
the intern without a conference with the MTCHS WBL Coordinator. The City reserves the right
to deny the Intern continued participation in the program at the City.
2. Duties. The Intern will have experience and proficiency (or a willingness to
learn) in the following systems: Windows, Mac OS, Android, Windows Servers, Printers
Hardware, Microsoft Office, and VMWare. The Intern will also have experience and proficiency
(or a willingness to learn) networks (including building and making changes or unusual setups
for such networks), hardware (including motherboard, processor, RAM, HDD/SSD, drives,
cards, and outside peripherals), hardware setup, cabling, access points, video production and
recording equipment, and a basic understanding of electronics. The Intern will be familiar with
hardware and software terms, internet terms and email systems and setup. The Intern's duties
will include working with some or all of the above-identified systems, including setup,
troubleshooting, training, and other similar duties as assigned by the Supervisor. The Intern's
duties will also include setup and operation of the City's video production and recording
equipment during scheduled City meetings.
3. Supervisor. The internship will be supervised by Annie Lloyd, IT System
Administrator.
4. Credit Requirements. It is understood and agreed that any academic credit
sought for this internship shall be arranged by Intern and MTCHS WBL, provided that the City
agrees to provide Intern's school with confirmation of hours worked as may be requested by
Intern.

5. Compensation and Status. The sole compensation which shall be due to the
Intern shall be a stipend of$9.00 per hour for 140 hours pursuant to the terms of this Agreement.
The stipend will be paid on a bi-weekly basis following the City's payroll policies. The City
shall deduct from the amount due to the Intern any and all amounts required by law to be
deducted including any and all amounts required to be deducted for FICA, federal income taxes
and state income taxes. The Intern understands, acknowledges and agrees that he is not a full-
time employee of the City and that he shall not have, be entitled to or receive any of the benefits
afforded to full-time employees of the City.
6. Governing Law. This Agreement shall be construed and interpreted in
accordance with the laws of the State of Idaho.
7. Assignment. This Agreement shall be binding and shall inure to the benefit of
the parties hereto and shall not be assigned or transferred.
