A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO, TO RESCIND RESOLUTION 20-17
AUTHORIZING DESTRUCTION OF PERMANENT PUBLIC RECORDS; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Eagle, Ada County, Idaho (the "City"), is a municipal corporation
organized and operating under the laws of the State of Idaho; and
WHEREAS, on October 13, 2020 Mayor and City Council approved Resolution 20-17
authorizing destruction of permanent public records; and
WHEREAS, a notice was subsequently received from the Idaho State Historical Society
stating their desire to accept the records for retention at their facility.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO:
Section 1: Resolution 17-20 is hereby rescinded in its entirety.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect beginning October 27, 2020.

Re: Resolution 20-17(a)
On October 13th at your regular City Council meeting there were several Resolutions dealing with
destruction of records presented and approved.
Resolution 20-17 was approved for the Destruction of Permanent Records. The City received
documentation from the Idaho Historical Society regarding the archiving of those permanent
documents.
Presented tonight is Resolution 20-17(a) rescinding Resolution for destruction of those records. The
permanent records will be transferred and retained offsite at the Historical Archives per Resolution 20-
18 which Authorizes the Archiving of Public Records which was also approved at the October 13th
meeting.
