AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF
THE STATE OF IDAHO, AMENDING TITLE 7, CHAPTER 1 OF THE EAGLE CITY CODE
BY ADOPTING THE 2012 INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE INCLUDING APPENDIX
J GRADING; ADOPTING THE 2012 IDAHO RESIDENTIAL CODE (PARTS I THROUGH
IV AND IX); AMENDING OR DELETING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE 2012
INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE; AMENDING OR DELETING CERTAIN SECTIONS
OF THE 2012 IDAHO RESIDENTIAL CODE; ADOPTING THE CURRENT PUBLICATION
OF THE INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE; ADOPTING THE CURRENT PUBLICATION OF
THE INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL CODE; ADOPTING THE CURRENT
PUBLICATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL EXISTING BUILDING CODE; ADOPTING
THE CURRENT PUBLICATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL FUEL GAS CODE;
ADOPTING THE CURRENT PUBLICATION OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE;
AND AMENDING TITLE 7, CHAPTER 4 OF THE EAGLE CITY CODE BY ADOPTING
THE 2012 ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE AND AMENDING OR DELETING
SECTIONS OF THE 2012 ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A CODIFICATION CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR ADOPTION.
The following is a summary of Ordinance No. 728, adopted by the City Council of the City of
Eagle, Ada County, Idaho, on January 27, 2015:
SECTION 1: Amends Eagle City Code §7 -IA -2 by adopting the most recent editions of
nationally recognized codes, as adopted by the State of Idaho, including the International
Building Code, Idaho Residential Code, International Energy Conservation Code, International
Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Existing Building Code,
International Fire Code, National Electric Code, Uniform Code for Building Conservation,
Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings and the safety code for elevators,
escalators, and moving walks.
SECTION 2: Amends Eagle City Code §7 -1A -3 by adopting certain amendments to the
International Building Code.
SECTION 3: Amends Eagle City Code §7 -1A -4 by adopting certain amendments to the Idaho
Residential Code.
SECTION 4: Amends Eagle City Code §7 -1 B -1 by adopting the 2012 edition of the
International Mechanical Code.
SECTION 5: Amends Eagle City Code §7 -1B -2 by adopting the 2009 edition of the
International Fuel Gas Code.
SECTION 6: Amends Eagle City Code §7 -1B -3 by adopting certain amendments to the
International Mechanical Code.
SECTION 7: Amends Eagle City Code §7 -1C -1 by adopting the 2014 edition of the National
Electrical Code.
SECTION 8: Amends Eagle City Code §7 -1D -1 by adopting the 2012 edition of the
International Fire Code.
SECTION 9: Amends Eagle City Code §7 -4 -2 by adopting the 2012 edition of the International
Energy Conservation Code.
SECTION 10: Amends Eagle City Code §7 -4 -5 by adopting certain amendments to the
International Energy Conservation Code.
SECTION 11: Provides for severability.
SECTION 12: Provides a codification clause.
SECTION 13: Provides an effective date and publication by summary.
