COUNCIL WORKSHOP
Discussion took place on the following:
L I B RARY:
contracts
reschedule
Boise City and Ada County Free Library District
discussed. Mayor GUERBER will call Lynn and try to
a meeting for Monday.
EAGLE MEDICAL CENTER: Contact has been made by Dr. Jim Jones of
Los Angeles. Dr. Jones may be interested in moving to Eagle to
start a practice here. He is familiar with this area.
BYPASS: It was determined that with the coming of a bypass there
was a possibility of the city shifting to a point nearer Highway
55. It would be advisable to meet with the Chamber of Commerce
and down town business people, along with the City Engineer to
discuss future plans for the town area. The meeting should be
scheduled for July.
MISCELLANEOUS: The tennis courts need resurfaced and should be
done this year. A senior volunteer has advised the city that he
could build a storage building for city hall grounds. It would
be advisable to obtain a bid from him and check into the
possibility of buying a metal storage building. There is a
possibility of getting a municipal lease in order to get street
lights, parking lot, parks, a swimming pool and other city
improvements.
The council asked the city clerk to have the buildilng inspector
check on the empty building on the corner of Eagle Rd. and State
St. for public safety and health hazards.
The city clerk was asked to get a bid on reconstructing the
council chamber podium so that the council members are able to
see each other during the meetings. Also, to obtain some sort of
smaller table for the city clerk and attorney, rather than the
big table now in the room.
The workshop adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
Respectfully submitted:
Barbara Montgomery
Eagle City Clerk

Mayor Steve Guerber
