Town Hall
September 22, 2014
1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Reynolds calls the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL: MCFARLAND, BUTLER, KUNZ, RIDGEWAY. McFarland and
Butler are absent.
3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: No Pledge of Allegiance
4. TOWN HALL MEETING:
A.)The Eagle City Council is pleased to invite all Eagle residents to attend the town hall
meeting. The Mayor and City Council welcome your input and look forward to
answering any questions that you may have.

Have a concern...we want to hear those as well!
We wish this to be an open discussion inspired by the interests of all of the
people of our wonderful community. Stop by to visit with your elected
officials.
This is an informal meeting in which we welcome open discussion. It is the wish of
the City Council that each speaker be treated with the utmost respect, courtesy and
afforded the right to speak without interruption. The intent of our town hall meeting
is to create a friendly community spirited forum where by the Eagle community may
express their views openly and freely. Personal attacks and intimidation will not be
tolerated. The meeting will be immediately terminated should it occur.
May we suggest this is a gathering of neighbors openly speaking with neighbors, and
we hope everyone will feel welcome to participate.
Discussion items at the Town Hall Meeting:
Thanks to the City for the sidewalk improvements on East State Street.
Vacant lot between Hwy 44 and State Street at Ballantyne Lane. What is the zoning?
Discussion on possible zoning options.
Another access option to tie together the business community on both sides of the
bypass. Discussion on options.
Greenbelt and Laguna Pointe trail and easement. Discussion on the improvements
that were completed. Also discussion on the Laguna Pointe trail and the easement.

Concession Agreement with Eagle Parks, LLC. Discussion on whether a 5 day letter
was sent, the terms of the Agreement and the Amendment to the Agreement that will
be on the Council agenda tomorrow night.
Thanks to the City for the funding and work on the hanging baskets downtown.
Cell tower service in the City of Eagle. Discussion on the need for increased cell
service in Eagle and what will happen now.
Eagle Road sign. Discussion on the repairs and the installation of the new sign. Also
discussion on preserving the old sign and suggestions of what to do with the old sign.
Sign violations. Interim Police Chief Calley discussed the sign violations and the
work Shawn, City of Eagle's Code Enforcement Officer; has done and continues to
do to keep everyone in compliance.
Interim Police Chief Calley discusses the crime rate in the City.
Public transportation discussion.
Transparency and the Granicus system.
Potential interest in the old gas station on State and Eagle Road and the type of a
business that may be interested in this location. Discussion on what the URA is
proposing in regards to the old gas station and the Tri City Meat property.
The Goldman lot on the corner of State and Eagle Road and converting the lot to a
City parking area.
Sales tax revenue. City Clerk Bergmann provides the FY 14/15 Revenue that is
budgeted for State Sales Tax and the State Liquor Distribution.
Trailer Park on State Street and the clean up process that has been going on.
The Gathering Place on State Street and it being an eyesore. Interim Police Chief
Calley states that the Gathering Place is in compliance with their window signs.
Discussion on the planters in the front and the need to clean them up and discussion
on the motor home that was parked at the Gathering Place.
Parking on the streets and more parking in the downtown.
Councilman Kunz provides an update on the roundabout at Eagle Road and State
Street and the Stakeholders meeting.
5. ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor adjourns the meeting.
