AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE
STATE OF IDAHO, AMENDING SECTIONS 10-1-6, EAGLE CITY CODE, TO PROVIDE FOR
ADOPTION OF THE MOST RECENT FLOOD INSURANCE STUDY, FLOOD INSURANCE RATE
MAPS, OR DIGITAL FLOOD INSURANCE RATE MAPS, AND OTHER SUPPORTING DATA, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Eagle is a municipal corporation organized and operated under the laws of the State
of Idaho; and
WHEREAS, the City of Eagle is enrolled in the National Flood Insurance Program; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to amend Title 10 of the Eagle City Code to adopt the most recent Flood
Insurance Study (FIS), Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM), or Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps
(DFIRM) and other supporting data; and
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EAGLE, Ada County, Idaho;
Section 1: Eagle City Code Title 10, Chapter 1, Section 6 is hereby, amended with the underline text
being added and the strikethrough text being deleted to read as follows:
10-1-6: BASIS FOR SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD AREAS:
The Special Flood Hazard Areas identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, in its Flood
Insurance Study (FIS) "The Flood Insurance Study (FIS) for Ada County, Idaho And Incorporated Areas",
dated June 19, 2403-2020, with accompanying Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM), or Digital Flood
Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRM), and other supporting data, are adopted by reference and declared to be a
part of this chapter. A copy of the FIS and the FIRM shall be maintained on file at the office of the Planning
and Zoning Department located within_Eagle City Hall, 660 East Civic Lane, Eagle. Idaho.
Section 2: This ordinance or summary thereof in compliance with Idaho Code § 50-901A, shall be
published once in the official newspaper of the City, and shall take effect immediately upon its passage,
approval and publication.
Adopted by the Eagle City Council, Eagle, Idaho, on this 26t11 day of May, 2020.
