A ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO EAGLE CITY CODE TITLE 8 "ZONING",
CHAPTER 2 "ZONING DISTRICTS AND MAPS", SECTION 3 "SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT
USE REGULATIONS", AND CHAPTER 3 "PERFORMANCE STANDARDS", SECTION 2,
"SUPPLEMENTAL GENERAL PROVISIONS"; ADDING NEW PARAGRAPH G TO
ESTABLISH STANDARDS FOR THE PLACEMENT OF PORTABLE CLASSROOMS; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Eagle is a municipal corporation organized and operated under the laws
of the State of Idaho; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 65, Title 67, Idaho Code, the City of Eagle has the authority to
adopt, establish and amend a Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, and the Eagle City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City of Eagle to
allow Portable Classrooms as a permitted use in certain zones with the establishment of
performance standards; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EAGLE, Ada County, Idaho;
Section 1: Eagle City Code Title 8 "Zoning", Chapter 2 "Zoning Districts and Map",
Section 3 "Schedule of District Use Regulations" is amended with the underlined text being
added to read as follows:

Section 2: Eagle City Code Title 8 "Zoning", Chapter 3 "Performance Standards",
Section 2 "Supplemental General Provisions" is amended to add Paragraph G with the
underlined text being added to read as follows:
G. Portable Classrooms: Portable classrooms which are ancillary to a permanent school
are permitted to be placed on the same lot with, or in proximity to the principal,permanent
school building. Portable classrooms intended for stand-alone use which are not accompanied by
a permanent school building are not permitted. Portable classrooms shall be designed to be
architecturally compatible with the principal,permanent school building.
Section 3: The provisions of this ordinance are hereby declared to be severable and if any
provision of this act or the application of such provision to any person or circumstance is
declared invalid for any reason, such declaration shall not affect the validity of remaining

portions of this ordinance.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage,
approval, and publication as required by law. In lieu of publication of the entire ordinance, a
summary thereof in compliance with Section 50-901A, Idaho Code, may be published.
