A special meeting of the Eagle City Council was called to order
on November 4, 1981 at 7:30 P. M. by Mayor Deckard at the Eagle
city Hall.
Msmbers present: DEC~ER, HALEY, KRASEN, PEA~%N.
Noved by KRAS~ and seconded by PEA~MAN that the minutes of the
previous meeting of October 13, 1981 be approved as printed.
Notion resulted as follows: AYE: DECKER, HALEY, KRASEN, .
PEA~V~N. Motic~ carried.
Design R~vie~ Application NO. 8-81 submitted by Loisc Bruce
for the old hotel located on the corner of 1st and State Street
was presented to the council.
Moved by KRAS~ and seconded by PEARMAN that Deisgn Review Application
8-81 be tabled until such time as the mayor feels it should ccme
before the council.
Motion resulted as follows: AYE: DECKER, HALEY, KRAS~, PEARMAN.
MDtion carried.
Mayor Deckard declared a five minute recess for the council to canvass
the votes.
Mayor Deckard called the m~eting back to order.
Noved by KPASEN and seconded by ~ that in compliance with
50-467, Idaho Code, the votes were canvassed by this Council and
found to agree with the tabulation of votes prepared by the election
judge and clerks; therefore, their tabulation is accepted. This
~h,~lation indicates t_hat there were 373 ballots cast, out of which
276 votes for candidate GAR~ k~LKER, 239 votes were for candidate
FRANK W. STOPPk"r.T~, and 206 votes were for candidate TOM WILSON.
Two offices are to be filled, both are seats on the City Council for
four (4) year terms. In accordance with 50-467, Idaho Code, the
tw~ candidates receiving the highest n%mg~__r of votes are GAR~ W~KER
and FPANK STOPP~.rO and they are hereby declared elected.
BDll call on the motion resulted as follows: AYE: DECKER, HALEY,
KRAS~, PEARMAN. Motion carried.
Moved by DECKER and seconded by PEAi~4AN to confinn the mayors
appointment of Jeanne Covault, 837 Preakness, Eagle, ID to the
position of trustee for the Eagle Public Library Board for a
term of five years.
Motion resulted as follows: AYE: DECKER, HALEY, KRAS~, PEARMAN.
Motion carried.
