In accrodance with Idaho Code 50-409 appointment of the
election judge and clerks is to be made by the City
Council at a regular meeting in the month preceeding an
election. Through an error of omission this was not done.
Therefore; the Eagle City Council, in special session,
hereby appoints and affirms the following election judge
and clerks for the special election to be held March 24, 1981.

The regular meeting of the Eagle City Council was called to order
on March 24, 1981 at 7:30 P. M. at the Eagle City Hall by Mayor
Deckard at 8:35 P. M.
Members Present: DECKER, HALEY, KRASEN PEARMAN.
Mayor Deckard declared a recess until the results were received from
the election judge and clerks.
The meeting was reconvened at 9:12 P. M. The Mayor and Council
canvassed the results of the election and tabulation of votes submitted
by the election judge and clerks.
Moved by KRASEN and seconded by PEARMAN to accept the results of the
tabulation by the election judge and clerks, that these results
are proclaimed as final, and that the minutes of this meeting
reflect that the initiative petition for an ordinance limiting
future areas of annexation of the City of Eagle, Idaho received 279
YES votes and 299 NO votes; therefore, the initiative petition failed
to receive a majority vote and does not become an ordinance for the
City of Eagle.
Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: AYE: DECKER, HALEY,
KRASEN, PEARMAN. Motion carried.
