The regular meeting of the Eagle City Council
met at 7:30 Aug. 2, 1971. at the Eagle City Fire Station.
Present were the Mayor and all Councilmen as well
as the City Attorney Robert Robson.
The minutes of the July regular meeting were
read and approved.
There was no old business. Discussion
followed on proper law enforcement for the city of Eagle
and recommendations for enforcement followed from Atty.
Robson to the Council.
After some deliberation, a tentative es.timate of
expenses for the 1973 budget was set by the Council
with some recommendations from Atty. Robson.
figure was set at $12,500-$13,000.
Atentative
Councilman Adams and the Clerk will meet with Atty.
Robson at his office Aug. 11th at 9AM in regard to
Eagle census figures.
A budget workshop meeting will be held Aug. 30
at 7:30PM at the Fire Station for the Council.
A resolution granting the Idaho Power Company
an electrical franchise for the city of Eagle was intro-
duced by Mayor otis Young.
A motion was made (RC)
and seconded (EB) to pass an ordinance to this effect.
The ordinance reads as follows:
"An ordinance granting
to Idaho Power Company, its SUccessors and assigns, an
electric light, heat and power franchise."
Councilman Adams made a short report on a meeting
in Boise,
he attended for all city officials.
There
being no further business to come before the
meeting was adjorned at 8:45PM.
