REGUlar COUNCIL MEETING FOR JUNE 1971

Eagle
The regular city council meeting was held June 14, 1971 at 7:30PM
in the Eagle Fire Station.
Memèers present were Mayor Otis A. Young
and Councilman J. Marvin Adams, Roy Cullen and Elmer Bacus.
The minutes of the April meetings were read and approved.
There were no committee reports.
Mayor Young then informed the council of the status of the
city census.
In order to have an official census report for the
city of Eagle, Mayor Young will finance the $85.00 necessary to
cover this expense.
The Mayor will be reimbursed as soon as the
city has funds.
The bill for the printing of the city ordinances
in the Valley News ~imes was presented and approved at this time,
amounting to $920.64.
A copy of the retail wine sales ordinance was read to the
council by the Mayor.
Counceilman Adams made the motion that the
city of Eagle wine license be set in the amount of $100.00 to
conform with area cities.
The motion was seconded by Councilman
Bacus.
The motion passed.
At this time Councilman Adams moved that there be an ordinance
created to provide for city beer licenses.
The motion was seconded
by Councilman Cullen.
The motion passed.
The ordinance will be
printed for public notice in the VaIIJy-News-Times under the
emergency provision for codifying ordinlances.
A Mr . Homer Garret requested information on City of Eagle's
position on liquor licenses.
A request for a building permit by
the new owner of the Bank Club was made.
The M~r stated that when
building plans are submitted the council would than consider the
permit.
Mayor Young then reported on the Ada Co. Development Council
meeting, he atteded in May.
He said it was well represented
by valley city officials and council members.
Councilman Adams reported about discussion with a Mr. George
IBenson of Larson Realtors in regard to future seyer facilities
in the Eagle area.
There was some discussion on Gary Marshall Used Cars in
the parking of his vehicles on the main street.
he would pursue the matter further.

City Attorney Robson will be contacted about the Eagle City Seal.
The meeting adjorned at 8:35PM.
