Minutes of Meeting April 5, 1971
The regular meeting was called to order at 8 PM
by Mayor Otis Young, at the Eag17 Fire Station.
was a querum, all council members being present.
There
City Attorney Robert RobIson then discussed with
~ayor ioung and council members the ordinances needed
for operation of the city government.
More discussion
followed on the administrative and other ordinances to
be adtopted.
Mayor Young appointed council members Roy Cullen
and J. Marvin Adams to serve with him on an Ordinance
committee.
The committee will meet April 12th with
Attorney Rob'son to prepare ordinances for vote at a
future council meeting.
Mayor Young assigned city council members as follows:
Financing and City Hall, Elmer Bacus; Water and S~~~,~
J. Marvin Adams; Fire Department and Sanitation,
Roy Cullen; Street and Park, LeRoy Pearman. .
Marvin Adams was appointed city Work Supervisor
and Building Inspector.
Attorney Robison said that
the electrical and plumbing inspection will be per-
formed by the state.
Newly appointed oity clerk-treasurer, Shirley
Beautrow was asked to call Harold Cox, Meridian City
Clerk and Rulon Swenson, Ada County Commissioner for
information about election ballots, ballot boxes
and voting booths.
Attorney RobIson advised that both the city olerk
and Mayor should be bonded. ~ First National Bank,
Eagle was designated as the official bank and Valley

SPECIAL OOM~ITTEE MEETING OF April 26, 1971
A special meeting of the Ordinance Comm. was held April 26th
in the offices of City Att. Robert Robson at 7:30.
The purpose of the meeting was to review pertinent ordinances
needed for the city of Eagle.
A rough draft was made by Att. Robson
at this time to be adopted by the Council at a future Council Meeting.
The following subjects for ordinances were covered:
Peddler and Itinerant licenses
Building permits and fees
Minors, age of 16 or senior highschool
Motor vehicles and traffic
Irrigation water and violations
Curb and Sidewalks
The meeting closed with some discussion on further correcting
the boundaries lines of the city for map purposes.
