The regular meeting of the City of Eagle was held November 13, 1973 at
7:30 P. M. The minutes were read and approved.
Mr. Howard Goul requested the council to accept the concept of a
Town House Development to be placed on 7.3 acres of land now owned
by Mr. Clarence D. Suiter. A motion was made by Otis Young and seconded
by Elmer Bacus to accept the concept of a Town House contingent on
acceptance of the plans after they have been developed.
DuWayne Weaver requested permission to build an office building
outside thecity limits of Eagle on property currently owned by him.
This proposed building would greatly enhance the area and Nr. Weaver
has indicated he would do everthing possible to conform to the Eagle
City Requests. He has agreed to 300 ft. between entrance, future
set-back of approximately 20 feet, and sewer system drag lines for
future hook-up. LeRoy Pearman made a motion to advise the Ada County
Planning and Zoning that the City has no objection to a chance of
zoning for this property and if Nr. Weaver is able to obtain this
zoning change the City will further study his plans. Otis Young
seconded the motion.
A plan was presented by Mayor Adams concerning property on the West
side of Park Road. Leo Litty would like to buy this property and
either build an 18 by 30 ft. building, or remodel the present garage
to do small engine repair, motor tune ups, and brake repair. The
Council will wait for a recommendation from the planner's before
any action is taken.
A letter was read from attorneys Sallaz and Scanlan who represent
Richard B. Smith's Eagle Meadows Mobile Home Village. The Mayor
is to write a letter to Mr. Rose concerning his ~iolation of an
agreement with the city to have Adults 0nly in this trailer park.
The council advised that if no action is taken to remove the homes
that are violating this contract that the City will obtain a laywer
for action against Mr. Smith.
A letter was received from the United States Bureau of Census
stating that on an estimate of 550 people within the City Limits
of Eagle the cost of a census would be $840.00. Although it is
felt that the present census of 359 is very low, it was decided to
investigate the added revenue the City would receive before deciding
whether a new census was justifiable.
The Sewer Board Election and Fire District Board Election will be held
December 3rd in the City Hall.
