The regular meeting of the City of Eagle was held June 11, 1974
at 7:30 P. N. The minutes were read and correction of date
from April to Nay was made.
~rs. DeShazio was present representing the ?lanning and Zoning
Commission, and gave a report on the public hearing held
by that ~ommission on June 10, 1974. Elmer Bacus made a motion
that a Public Hearing be scheduled by the Council and Nayor
of the City of Eagle for the purpose of passing the Zoning
Ordinance, Naster Plan and Zoning Map. Said hearing will be
held July 9, 1974 at 7:30 P. N. at the City Hall. LeRoy
Pearman seconded the motion.
LeRoy Pearman made a motion to appoint John Smldt as a
member of the Eagle City Library Board, to act in a supervisory
position representing the Town Council. Elmer Bacus seconded
the motion, and nominations ceased. John Smidt and ~ayor Adams
will examine prospective members of the library board and
submit their recommendations at the next meeting of the
City Council.
John Smidt made a motion to record the Warranty Deeds of
the Library Purchase. Elmer Bacus seconded themotlon.
Elmer Bacus made a motion to table employment of indigent
youths from the State Department of Employment. LeRoy
Pearman seconded the motion.
LeRoy Pearman made a motion toauthorize Nayor Adams to
select or employee individuals to proceed with house
numbering within the City Limits. A salary of not more
than $3.00 an hour to be paid for this service. Elmer
Bacus seconded the motion.
LeRoy Pearman authorized the clerk to purchase a legal size
filing cabinet for the city. John Smidt seconded the motion.
John Smidt instructed the clerk to send letters to Crawford
Auto Supply and Chevron 0il Co. informing them of City Ordinance
No. 5 in which they are required to obtain a building permit
before making additions to existing structures. Elmer Bacus
seconded the motion.
LeRoy Pearman made a motion to nominate Nrs. DeSchazio to the
City Council to fill the vacated position of Irene Gunderson.
John Smidt seconded the motion. ~rs. DeSchazio will fill this
position until the next City Election.

LeRoy Pearman told the Council that he knew of a man who was
acting as City Building Inspector for the Citys of Meridian
and Kuna, and who would also inspect Eagle's buildings for a
per=centage of the Building Fee Permit. Mr. Pearman will
ask this gentlemen to speak to the Council at the
next meeting.
Mayor Adams told the Council of a meeting to be held
June 17, 1974 by the Idaho-Oregon Regional Planning
and Development Association. Commissioner Mylander
will conduct the meeting for the Sewer Board, Planning
& Zoning Members and members of the City Council.
There being no further business to come before the council,
the meeting was adjourned.
