The regular meeting of the City of Eagle was held January 8, 1974
at 7:3© P. N. The minutes were read and approved and a balance of
$ 7~ Ff was reported in the treasury with no outstanding
bills to account for.
Elmer Bacus made a motion to accept the proposal of Roland
Smith, C. P. A. to audit the 1973 books and set the
City's books on the uniform accounting system. The top
fee to be $350.00.
An Interim Appropriation Ordinance #14 was adopted by the
Council for a total of $2325.00
~r. Goul asked the council to accept his plans for a town
house. Leroy Pearman made a motion that written information
be obtained from ~r. Sonneville as to the width of the street
running inside the townhouse. Elmer Bacus seconded the motion
and the two voted on the issue.
Jim Knapp, representing the Eagle Recreation spoke to the
council and submitted a plan to the members asking the
City to either accept this program as a complete home, or
to pay the directors fee for handling the summer baseball
program. LeRoy Pearman made a motion to discuss the matter
and give ~r. Knapp an answer at a special meeting to be
held January 22, 1974.
LeRoy Pearman made a motion directing the Mayor to contact
Jim Risch, Prosecuting Attorney, and ask himfor an opinion
on the Smith-Rose matter. Elmer Bacus seconded the motion.
~ayor Adams is to report back by the January 22 meeting.
John Smidt made a motion to table any further discussion
on the subject of house purchase until the February meeting
LeRoy Pearman seconded the motion.
Mayor Adams reported he would have maps readytto second in
for the census within the week.
John Smidt made a motion to direct the City Clerk to notify
the establishments ~n Eagle of the Ordinances on the
licensing of beer and wine sales, stating that at their
renewal dates the fees would be in effect. Elmer Bacus seconded
the motion.
The City Clerk was requested to obtain information from the
Planning and Zoning Commission as to what they have done on the
Zoning Issues, or Ordinance #10.
There being no further business to come before the council the
meeting was adjourned until January 22, 1974.
