Minutes - 1975 - City Council - 01/15/1975 - Regular CITY OF EAGLE P.O. BOX 477 · EAGLE, IDAHO 83616 January 15, 1975 The regular meeting of the City of Eagle was held Wednesday, January 15, 1975. John Smidt made a motion to approve the minutes as written. Elmer Bacus seconded the motion. Attorney Paul Baird was introduced to the council and will be present the month of February in ~r. Cosho's absence. John Smidt made a motion to instruct the city clerk to write a letter to Nr. Sonneville requesting the County Highway Department to make 1st street a one way street north between Highway 44 and Idaho Street. Included in the motion was a request that ~r. Sonneville write the council his plans for improvement of 1st Street, and also the alley running behind Orville Jackson's Drug Store. LeRoy Pearman seconded the motion. Elmer Bacus made a motion to instruct the city clerk to write a letter to the state highway department requesting that they change the speed limit on Highway 44, within the city limits of Eagle to 25 miles per hour. LeRoy Pearman seconded the motion. LeRoy Pearman made a motion to direct and empower the city clerk to invest the City's idle funds as provided for under Section 50-1019 of the Idaho Code. Elmer Bacus seconded the motion. Elmer Bacus made a motion to give authority to Najor J. Narvin Adams to appoint the non-elected official as alternate representative to ACOG. John Smidt seconded the motion. an Nr. Howard Friend, surveyor, presented to the council an itemized estimate of surveying and marking the present city limits of Eagle. This estimate has been entered into the minutes. John Smidt made a motion to call a special meeting for January 29, 1975 for the presentation of the audit, and a discussion of the budget and the future of the city hall. LeRoy Pearman seconded the motion. John Smidt made a motion to change the regular meeting date of the city council to the first Wednesday of every month through the month of May.
