The regular meeting of the Eagle City Council was called to order at
7:30 P. M., April 12, 1977 by Mayor Deckard.
All councilmen were present.
The minutes of the previous special meeting of March 22, 1977 were
approved as printed°
Ordinance #34, annexation of Eagle Hills West No. 3 & ~, was read
for the second time,
Ordinance #35, regarding building in the flood plain was read for the
first time.
Jim ~nyx asked the council to change the rear yard setback for residential
from 25' to 15'o Brad Herrick moved that this matter be brought befere
the Planning and %oning Co~ission for their re¢o~nenda~iOno Ted
Arnold seconded the motion°
Mayor Deckard read a letter from the chairman of the Flanning and
Zoning Commission requesting the conncil to appoint a replacement
for ~.~ck Cole whohas resigned.
A public hearing was held on placing a moratorium on conditional
use permits, rezones~ annexations and variances° LeRo~ Pearman moved
that this item be tabled until the next regular council meeting.
Ted Arnold seconded the motion. Fred Lows voted a~ainst. }~tion
carried.
Mayor Deckard read a .letter from the labor and industrial services
of the State of Idaho concerning city options under a new
legislative bill concerning the Uniform Euilding Cod~.
Ted Arnold moved that Eagle Village Subdivision, Phase #1~ be allowed
to place duplexes on Lots 1, 2 and 3 of Block 3 and Lots 1 - 12
of Block l. Fred Lows seconded the motion.
Mayor Deekard read a letter from J. U. B. Engineers requesting
annexation of 64.55 acres of land located north of Floating Feather
Road and adjacent to the Eagle Hills West Property. His request was
in behalf of Idaho Land Developers. Brad Merrick moved that this
matter be tabled since this land is not at the present t~me contiguous
with the City of Eagle° Fred Lows seconded the motion.
}~yor Deckard read a letter from the Associatien of idaho Cities
regarding a spring district meeting to he held April 27, 1977 from
6:30 P. Mo to 9:30 Po Mo at the Rodeway Inn in Boise.
