The. regular meeting of the Eagle City Council was called to
order at 7:30 P. M. on May 9, 1978 by Mayor Deckard.
ARNOLD, KRASEN, PEARMAN and POLLARD were present.
The following corrections were made to the minutes of April
11, 1978: Page 2 paragraph 4 include Moved by POLLARD and
seconded by KRASEN that this matter be tabled until the next
regular meeting. The motion resulted as follows: AYE:
KRASEN, PEARMAN, ARNOLD and POLLARD. Motion carried.
Page 1, paragraph 2 include that Mr. Pollard was late because
he was attending a Girl Scout Father Daughter banquet of which
the council was previously informed.
Moved by KRASEN and seconded by POLLARD to approve the minutes
as corrected. The motion resulted as follows: AYE:
ARNOLD, KRASEN, PEARMAN, POLLARD. Motion carried.
Mr. C. H. Higer, attorney at law, Emmett, Idaho represented
Mr. Glea Smith and asked the council to grant a variance for
setbacks to Mr. Smith to build an addition to his home.
Moved by KRASEN and seconded by POLLARD that when a variance
request is received from Mr. Smith that said variance be
forwarded to the Planning and Zoning Commission for hearing
and that the city council follow hearing procedures in accordance
with our zoning ordinance.
The motion resulted as follows: AYE: ARNOLD, KRASEN, PEARMAN,
POLLARD. Motion carried.
Discussion was held concerning the APA 1978-79 budget.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE IMPLEMENTATION GRANT
Moved by KRASEN and seconded by POLLARD that the mayor review
the paperwork concerning an Economic Development Conference
Implementation Grant and that if he finds no major deficiencies
that he be authorized to submit for a grant to the Economic
Development Conference Implementation Grant Program. The
motion resulted as follows: AYE: ARNOLD, KRASEN, PEARMAN,
POLLARD. Motion carried.
