A special meeting of the Eagle
order by Mayor Deckard on June
at the Eagle City Hall.
City Council was called to
26th, 1979 at 7:30 P. M.
ARNOLD, KRASEN, PEARMAN were present.
Mayor Deckard presented the name of AL STURR to the council
for appointment as councilman to fill the vacancy of
DON BROOKS.
Moved by ARNOLD and seconded by PEARMAN to confirm the mayor's
appointment.
Motion resulted as follows: AYE: ARNOLD, KRASEN, PEARMAN.
Motion carried.
The Oath of Office was administered by the city clerk.
Wayne Gibbs from J. U. B. Engineers, Inc. presented the council
with an annexation request of the following three parcels
of property to be included in the Eagle South Annexation:
Leonard Mace, Verlan Mace and Marie Main.
Moved by PEARMAN and seconded by ARNOLD to send this request
to the planning and zoning commission for their next meeting.
KRASEN moved the motion be amended to included that the
planning and zoning commission also be asked to make appropriate
recommendations for changes in the zoning ordinance and
comprehensive plan. PEARMAN seconded the motion.
Motion on the amendment resulted as follows: AYE: ARNOLD,
KRASEN, PEARMAN, STURR. Motion carried.
Motion on the original motion resulted as follows: AYE: ARNOLD,
KRASEN, PEARMAN, STURR. Motion carried.
The council worked on the 1980 budget, and asked that the
mayor and clerk have a draft ready for the July meeting.
Moved by PEARMAN and seconded by ARNOLD to discontinue the
services of Ada Planning Association for 1980.
Motion resulted as follows: AYE: ARNOLD, PEARMAN, STURR.
NAY: KRASEN. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the council,
meeting was adjourned.
