Special Meeting Minutes
October 9, 2001
1. CALL TO ORDER:
2. ROLL CALL: MERRILL, BASTIAN, SEDLACEK, GUERBER. All present. A
quorum is present.
3. EXECUTIVE SESSION:
A. Acquisition of private property: I.C. § 67-2345 (C)
Sedlacek moves to go into Executive Session for the discussion of acquisition of
private property and threatened litigation. Seconded by Bastian. ALL AYE:
MOTION CARRIES ...............
Council discusses acquisition of private property and threatened litigation.
Council leaves Executive Session.
Bastian moves to direct Bill Dietz, City representative for the acquisition of property
for construction of a new City Hall, to work with the Points family to appraise their
property and write a letter to Mr. Stevens firming up their commitment and our
understanding of the price of $300,000 and further direct Mr. Dietz to use whatever
resources he has to attempt to determine the site costs of the property including
demolition costs, relocation of utilities and underground utilities, and a class one
environmental study, if needed. Said report to come to Council at the November
13, 2001 City Council meeting. Seconded by Guerber. Discussion. ALL AYE:
