Minutes - 2000 - City Council - 08/22/2000 - SpecialEAGLE CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES August 22, 2000 ORIGINAL 1. CALL TO ORDER: 2. ROLL CALL: Bastian, Merrill, Sedlacek, Guerber. Bastian is absent. A quorum is present. 3. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: A. Discussion of First Amendment to Water Service Contract - United Water Operations (formerly EM2). Mayor introduces the issue. City Attorney: Provides an overview of the decisions Council needs to make in regards to the water system. Discussion on the United Water charge for the fire flow. General discussion. Dan Brown, Ufflted Water. Discusses the charge from United Water for the fire flow service. This is a bi-monthly charge to provide this service. There is not a meter so if fire flow is needed there would be no additional charge for the water used. General discussion. City Attorney: Discusses the documents provided by Dan Brown in regards to two scenarios on loans from United Water to put in the Hormaechea well. Dan Brown, City Attorney and Council: General discussion on the loan options. 6:05 p.m. Dan Brown places the conference call to Greg Wyatt to discuss the water system rates, the fire flow service and the funding for the Hormaechea well. General discussion with all parties. Discussion on providing quarterly reports to the City. Mr. Wyatt has agreed to provide the quarterly reports on a regular basis. Council will provide a list of specific particulars that they would like to see on the quarterly reports. Discussion by all parties in regards to the Hormaechea well. 6:30 p.m.: Council Member Bastian is present. Mr. Wyatt will pursue financing from United Water to cover the cost of the Hormaechea well. The Conference call to Mr. Wyatt has ended. Council general discussion. 4. ADJOURNMENT: Sedlacek moves to adjourn. Seconded by Merrill. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIES...
