Minutes - 1999 - City Council - 11/16/1999 - SpecialORIGINAL EAGLE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING NOVEMBER 16, 1999 1. CALL TO ORDER: 2. ROLL CALL: Bastian, Merrill, Sedlacek, Guerber. Guerber absent. A quorum is present. 3. NEW BUSINESS: A. Award Eagle/Ada County Sports Complex Phase I: Mayor introduces the issue. Doug Russell, The Land Group, Discusses the Bids received. Angle & Associates is the apparent low bidder. The Notice of Award needs to be signed tonight. Discussion on the Notice to Proceed and Agreement. Provides Council with some background on Angle & Associates. Bob Angle, Angle & Associates, Provides Council with some background of his company and himself. Has a background in landscaping and park planning. Company was started in 1985 and has been out of Pocatello since 1992. Meets all the licensing requirements. Bastian moves authorizes the Mayor to enter into the Notice of Award with Angle & Associates for the sum of $362,400. Seconded by Sedlacek. Bastian: AYE; Merrill: AYE; Sedlacek: AYE: ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIES ............ B. Approval of Estimate for Materials Testing for Eagle/Ada County Sports Complex Phase I: Mayor introduces the issue. Doug Russell, The Land Group, Discusses the Bid from Materials Testing & Inspection. Merrill moves to accept the bid from Materials Testing & Inspection bid in the amount of $2,694.00 for the Ada County/Eagle Skateboard Park. Seconded by Sedlacek. Bastian: AYE; Merrill: AYE; Sedlacek: AYE: ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIES .................. Doug Russell, discusses when construction can begin and the work that can be accomplished before the weather turns bad. We need to be open on the finishing deadline because of the time delay that has been encountered. Water is in and power should be in shortly. General discussion on the project. Merrill: 3" foam has been sprayed in the ramps at the temporary Skateboard Park. I'm going to get bids on the cost of a barrier wall. The temporary park has made the Sheriff's Deputies job easier downtown. General discussion. 4. ADJOURNMENT: Sedlacek moves to adjourn. Seconded by Merrill. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIES .............
