CANVASSING ELECTION RESULTS
MEETING WAS CONTINUED FROM 11/3/99
REGULAR COUNCIL AGENDA: 5:00 p.m.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
2. ROLL CALL: Bastian, Merrill, Sedlacek, Guerber. Bastian is absent. A quorum is present·
3. CANVAS VOTES: In accordance with Idaho Code, Section 50-467, the City Clerk is
requesting the Mayor and Council to canvass the results of the General Election. (SKM)
Mayor introduces the issue.
City Clerk distributes the results of the November 2, 1999, General Election for Council
Member, Four Year Term. In accordance with Idaho Election Law, the number of candidates
receiving the highest number of votes, equal to the number of offices to be filled, shall be
declared elected.
Stanley J. Bastian - 608
Matthew Glavach - 291
Nancy C. Merrill - 626
Brian S. Packer - 205
Theresa E. Steach - 132
Geneva A. Trent - 246
The two candidates receiving the highest number of votes for the two Council position are Nancy
C. Merrill with 626 votes and Stanley J. Bastian with 608 votes.
Guerber moves to approve the Election Results as presented. Seconded by Sedlacek. ALL
AYE: MOTION CARRIES .................
