EAGLE CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MINUTES
January 29, 1999
1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor calls the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL: Bastian, Merrill, Sedlacek, Guerber. Merrill is absent. A quorum is present.
3. NEW BUSINESS:
A. Awarding of contract for personal computers at new Library.
Mayor introduces the issue.
Susan, Thomas, President of Library Board, recommending that the computer hardware bid be
awarded to Sawtooth Technology. Comp USA was the low bidder but they failed to
acknowledge the addendum in writing and have not complied with the bid requirements in not
specifying the cost of the performance bond. The Eagle City Attorney has concurred with this
recommendation. General discussion.
Bastian moves to approve the agreement for the purchase of the equipment and enter into a
contract with Sawtooth Technology as specified by the Library Board. Seconded by
Sedlacek. Discussion. Bastian: AYE; Sedlacek: AYE; Guerber: AYE: ALL AYE:
MOTION CARRIES ............
B. Awarding of Personal Services Contract for computer network installation and
network maintenance for the new Library.
Mayor introduces the issue.
Susan Thomas, President of Library Board, our recommendation that this be awarded to
VisionTek, they are the low bidder.
Guerber moves to accept the maintenance contract as propose d. Seconded by Bastian.
Bastian: AYE; Sedlacek: AYE; Guerber: AYE: ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIES .........
C. US West Agreement: New frame relay for new Library site.
Mayor introduces the issue.
Susan Thomas, President Library Board, explains the US West Agreement to Council.
Bastian moves to accept the US West Communications Contract as proposed. Seconded by
Sedlacek. Bastian: AYE; Sedlacek: AYE: Guerber: ABSTAIN: 2 AYES: 1 ABSTENTION:
MOTION CARRIES ............
4. ADJOURNMENT:
Sedlacek moves to adjourn. Seconded by Guerber. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIES...
