Reynolds April 18, 2012 CCI Construction Inc 1342 E Covey Run Court Eagle, ID 83616 City of Eagle 660 E Civic Lane PO Box 1520 Eagle, Idaho 83616 Building Dept 208-489-8760 Re: Expiration of Building Permit 11-04-044 at 809 E Brookwood Dr Dear CCI Construction Inc, Council Members Mark Butler Mary Defayette John Grasser Norm Semanko The Building Permit issued for a Trellis in Pool Area, located at Lot 102 Block 3 in the Brookwood #7 Subdivision, will be deemed expired as of May 18, 2012 under the Building Code stated below. To receive a `Certificate of Completion', you must finalize this project prior to the expiration date above: IBC & IRC sections 105.5 are amended to read as follows: 105.5 Expiration. Every permit issued by the building official under the provisions of this chapter shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not commenced within 180 calendar days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 calendar days. The timeframe by which a project shall be deemed to be suspended or abandoned shall be measured from the date of the last major inspection that resulted in an approval to move to the next stage of construction by the city of Eagle or if no inspection has been required then a project shall be deemed to be suspended 180 calendar days from the date the permit was issued. Eagle City Code Sec 105.5 also States: If more than one year has passed since the permit has expired or the city has adopted a new version of the building code, then the applicant shall apply for a new permit and the plans will be subject to a new plan review process and related permit fees. The City of Eagle regrets this project was never finalized. If you are not able to provide the structural Engineering, we will need to Expire this permit on August 1st, 2012. You and the Brookwood HOA received an expiration letter dated 4/18/12 and the permit was to expire on 5/18/12 but we extended the permit waiting for you to get back in town to resolve this issue.
