JOINT WORKSHOP WITH EAGLE SEWER DISTRICT
MINUTES
November 24, 1997
COUNCIL: 7:00 p.m.
1. CALL TO ORDER:

CITY COUNCIL: Masner, Merrill, Sedlacek. Bastian absent. A quorum is present.
PLANNING & ZONING: Famworth
EAGLE SEWER DISTRICT: Gruber, Ferguson, Bruce, Hill
A. A brief history of Sewer District.
Lynne Sedlacek provides a brief history of the Sewer District.
B. Open discussion of the Consolidation of the City of Eagle and Eagle Sewer District. Note:
No public comment will be taken at this time.
Mayor introduces the issue.
Evan Robertson spoke about Sun Valley Sewer District and their wows with consolidation.
Discussion on the Sewer District's bond indebtedness.
C. Goals:
General discussion.
Eagle Sewer District Board all stated that they want this facility plan in force and the long term
solution completed before they can move forward.
Eagle Sewer District, the City Council and Planning & Zoning, all agreed that there should be
more open communication between all &the parties.
Masner moves to authorize the City Attorney to move forward on the consolidation effort.
Seconded by Merrill. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIES ..............
Bruce moves to authorize the Eagle Sewer District Attorney to move forward and work with
John McFadden to research this consolidation effort with the City of Eagle. Seconded by
Gruber. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIES ..........
It was decided that Eagle Sewer District provide the Mayor, and Planning & Zoning, with one of
their board packets.

D. Establishment of a tentative timeline.
A tentative time line was set for a report from both attorneys sometime in the middle to end of
January, 1998.

Masher moves to adjourn. Seconded by Merrill. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIES...
Gruber moves to adjourn Seconded by Ferguson. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIES ....
